Kite Capers

Here is another wonderful Unit Study/Lapbook Study that we have thoroughly enjoyed this past week!! Kite Capers is fun and refreshing after being cooped up all winter! I had a friend ask me how I did these unit studies with all of our normal school - and I was so glad I could answer honestly - these unit studies are ALL done for you - the work is done - the books, videos, projects have all been compiled - all you have to do is choose what you'd like to do out of the study and go at it! My daughter asks me daily, "What's our next study, Mom?" She just loves them, and I have to agree - they add some "fun" back into our daily-ness of school.

and oh so much more!!

The books for suggested reading were wonderful - some titles I had no idea were even out there! In fact, there were so many good titles - we are STILL reading!! And not only did we make our own kite, but we also learned something that my daughter thought was thrilling - kites came from her home country!!

What a great unit - we really enjoyed this one! Now, we just think we need to find ourselves a good kite festival and we are all set!!
