The Rhythm of Secrets

I have found a new author that I have thoroughly enjoyed! Patti Lacy is amazing in her book, The Rhythm of Secrets. I was caught up from the very beginning and I have literally been hooked all the way to the end. This isn't your typical - "feel good Christian fiction" - Lacy paints a pretty sad upbringing for the main character, Sheila. She has lived through many tough situations and has lived a life that hides all of her past. I thought it was hard to read at points - all that this little girl had survived through - but it is so redemptive. There are threads that will please all types of readers - music, adoption, teen pregnancy, social issues, loss of a parent - it touches on so many things and really hit a chord with me. I highly recommend this book AND this author!!
