May is Get Caught Reading Month - How will you celebrate??? I think I will surprise my kids and whenever I catch them reading, of their own accord, during this month ~ I will surprise them with something small - Post your ideas too - I can always use a new idea or two!!
I love it when I find my 6 year old daughter reading 'just because'! I usually give her a hug and tell her that I can "see" her brain growing. It's a great idea to reward her somehow. She loves to go to the bookstore and buy a book or two (we usually just go to the library). Maybe I'll do some sort of chart and everytime I see her reading, I'll put a star on the chart. After a certain number of stars (10 stars can = a book), we'll head to the bookstore for some fun!
